CHERYL CHADWICK EARLY LEARNING CENTER

Abbott Substitute Teacher (As Needed) Bridgeton NJ – Responsible for filling in for absent teachers. Must be able to follow a classroom schedule, lesson plan, and work with children of ages 3-4. The position is on-call when needed and shifts may vary from day-to-day. High School Diploma or GED certificate, Bridgeton or County substitute certificate, and a valid NJ Driver License are required.

 

Substitute Teacher’s Assistant (As Needed) Bridgeton NJ – To execute educational program in line with CCELC educational goals, beliefs, and designed curriculum. FAMILY SUCCESS CENTER

Site Coordinator (F/T) Salem NJ – Will work with children and families, ensure and maintain documentation, supervise staff and program implementation, serve as a liaison in the community, oversee program operations, attend and coordinate meetings, conduct and facilitate parent education and other curriculum and case supervision. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. At least three years of experience working with children and families in addition to supervisory experience. Must have a valid NJ driver license, must have own transportation, ability to read and write, flexibility etc.

 

HEAD START:

EHS Group Teacher (F/T) Sicklerville NJ - Responsible for the supervision and coordination of the assigned classroom; ensuring that it meets with the Head Start Performance Standards and New Jersey Licensing Regulations. Must meet or exceed the qualification requirements set forth in Chapter 122, Manual of Requirements for Child Care Centers, State of New Jersey, 10:122-4.5 (4) and requirements of the Head Start Act 2007. Clear Child Abuse Registry Information for the State of NJ. Must have a car available on a daily basis. Bilingual Skills a plus.

SPRING GARDENS SENIOR HOUSING

Case Manager/Office Assistant (F/T) Bridgeton NJ - Connect residents with services in their community that provide enrichment and quality of life, promote a physically and socially active life style, assist residents in maintaining a healthy, safe, sanitary and decent living environment. Organize activities and maintain a calendar of events. Answer incoming calls, record messages, maintain accurate daily records and case files. Must have a High School Diploma or GED Certificate. One years’ experience in consumer friendly environment. Must have a valid NJ Driver License, excellent driving record, ability to work independently, must be able to lift very heavy loads, good communication skills & bilingual preferred.

 

Custodial Maintenance/Security (2 P/T) Vineland NJ - Respond to resident emergencies, perform maintenance functions to include unclog toilets, replace smoke detector batteries, empty trash, monitor trash shuts, mop and clean areas as needed etc. Assure building is secure after hours, perform routine hall monitoring during shift. This is a part-time weekend position. Must have a High School Diploma or GED Certificate. One years’ experience in custodial field. Valid NJ Driver License, ability to work independently, self-starter, good communication skills & bilingual preferred.

 


WIC

Program Nutritionist (F/T) Atlantic, Cumberland & Camden Counties NJ – The program nutritionist will be responsible for determining participants’ nutritional risk and needs, will prescribe supplemental food and provide individual/group counseling to WIC program participants. Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service training and other professional and staff development activities. Supervises clinic operations including but not limited to high risk counseling; development of lesson plans and special activities. Assists in organizing and maintaining of general nutrition education materials and displays in the WIC clinics such as bulletin boards, pamphlets, food displays, etc. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with multi-cultural, and multi-lingual clientele and /staff. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A BS in Foods and Nutrition or Community Nutrition or Public Health Nutrition. A Valid NJ Driver License is required. Travel within Gateway CAP service area is required. Applicants must work well independently, and with the team. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.             

 

 

URBAN FARM 

Urban Farm Worker (P/T) Bridgeton NJ – The Mill Creek Urban Farm Worker will assist with the production of greenhouse and outdoor crops including minor maintenance and repairs as well as general upkeep of facilities and grounds. Experience with tools a plus. This position requires ability to work independently, and may involve lifting, stooping and bending for extended periods of time. The Urban Farm Worker will be under the direct supervision of the Farm Manager. Must have a valid NJ driver license and be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.

Child Family Site Director (Atlantic City & Galloway)

 

Basic Job Function: 
Provide daily (or when responsible for more than one center, as duties allow) onsite supervision to assigned center(s) to ensure that the Head Start Performance Standards and NJ Licensing Regulations are implemented including, but not limited to: identify and resolve problems, observe and assess progress of staff, assess physical condition of facilities including follow-ups and ensure safety is maintained, ensure development and documentation of in-kind, ensure implementation of CACFP and Family Style, meet ERSEA guidelines and supervise volunteers.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (see New Jersey licensing standards)
- At least two years teaching experience of pre-school children with an understanding of child development. Knowledge of Community Resources/and or previous Social Service experience.
- At least two years supervisory experience, but not required.

Basic Job Function: 
The Education Outreach Worker is responsible for coordinating, collaborating, and facilitating the effective delivery of Education, Health, Social Services and Parent Involvement to Head Start children, families, and child care partners in accordance with NJ licensing regulations and Head Start Performance Standards.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ensure that child care partners plan and implement activities in an individually and developmentally appropriate manner for pre-school children in keeping with the philosophy and Performance Standards of Head Start and the licensing requirements of New Jersey. This includes, but is not limited to, completing lesson plan reviews, modeling lesson plans or activities, or mentoring new teachers as appropriate.
- Responsible for recruitment, enrollment, and daily attendance of eligible Head Start children and families including the following: maintaining an open-door policy for walk-ins, purposeful home visits, and active in-person contact with community.
- Responsible for developing a partnership with families including the following: assessing needs, developing Family Partnership Agreement, home visits, connecting families with resources to meet needs, collaborate with other agencies and departments to ensure easy access to resources, and be and advocate for improving quality of life.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate, organized, confidential up-to-date records.
- Responsible for family, parent, and volunteer involvement including: attending, recruiting for, and supporting parent committee meetings and activities; assisting/conducting, parent orientation; promote and coordinate participation of volunteers in the center; facilitate open communication between staff, parents, and the community; notify parents of changes in procedure, routine, or activity.
- Responsible for participating in trainings, and staff meetings through sharing ideas, information, and striving for professional self-development.

Basic Job Functions:
The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room, public areas, outside building perimeter, and playgrounds. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises.
