Gateway Community Action Partnership operates the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants & Children (WIC) in Camden, Cape May, Cumberland and Salem counties.
The program provides supplemental foods, nutrition education, lactation support, immunization education and health care referrals to income-eligible pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to age 5.

 Marine returns home to surprise son at Penns Grove Head Start

PENNS GROVE – A surprised two-year-old Chase Halstead stared wide-eyed for a moment at the man standing in the middle of his Early Head Start classroom in a U.S. Marine Corps uniform, and then sprinted into the man’s arms.

The program operates from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to provide a meaningful adult day care program as well as provide respite care for families of Alzheimer’s patients.
