   Last year, our city launched the first Let’s Move campaign to promote healthy lifestyles in accordance with the national initiative championed by First Lady Michelle Obama. In an effort to keep our city “moving” we are planning a city-wide Bridgeton Family Fun Day for May 19, 2012. I would like to personally invite you to participate in this great fun day filled with activities for the whole family.
   The goal of this multi-faceted event is to offer a day for families to enjoy many physical activities, listen to great music, participate in many educational activities, enjoy good food and re-acquaint themselves with the many fine things Bridgeton has to offer. Physical activities will be held at the high school area and food vendors, crafters and organizations will have space located in the downtown Riverfront area of the City.
   To make this event a success and start an annual tradition in our city, we need your help and support. Please take a moment to review the enclosed information listing the various opportunities we have available for individuals and groups to join the Family Fun Day efforts. Here are just a few examples:
 Become a major sponsor of the event
 Sponsor a space along the walking route and distribute water or healthy snacks
 Offer special Family Fun Day discounts or promotions at your business location
 Rent a space and sell your wares
 Rent a space and share information or demonstrate a product, service, or idea that is beneficial to the community
 Come and enjoy the day’s activities as a participant.
   In order for the day to be successful, we need financial sponsors, food vendors, crafters, organizations to rent a space and promote their mission and vision and participants. We would like to include your organization’s information as a sponsor in the marketing materials as a way of saying “thank you” for your commitment to our event and our city. Sponsors who register before March 15 will be included on all printed materials; participants who register after this date will be included on electronic communications and on May 19th. We would like you to consider being a participant in the day. Vendor space is available.
