Gateway Scholars offers Pathway to Success

  Gateway Community Action Partnership’s Gateway Scholars program is recruiting motivated youth to once again participate in year-round training and educational assistance all with a focus on a bright future.

  Gateway Scholars is a year-round program with paid, self-development classes (up to 12-15 hours per week) in a safe, healthy, remote learning atmosphere. Laptops will be available for Gateway Scholars.

  Focus areas include job training preparation, career exploration, college readiness development, college readiness, SAT/ACT preparation, paid college tours and field trips, life skills and mentoring.

  Scholars must meet income guidelines and be in junior or senior year of high school in 2020-2021. Parental involvement is mandatory.

  Gateway Scholar slots are limited. To apply for a slot, applicants should submit a 75-word essay about future plans after graduation, including school and community activities, include a letter of recommendation from a counselor, community member, etc. and participate in an interview with their parent/guardian.
