Bridgeton Beautification Poster Contest
How can we solve the litter problem and keep Bridgeton beautiful?
This contest challenges students to illustrate ways to help solve the litter problem in Bridgeton
and keep the city clean and beautiful. The contest, open to students in K-12, focuses on creating
positive solutions to a community problem. Photos will be taken of the winning pieces and used as
posters to advertise the community litter pick-up day on March 27th, 2021.
Contest Rules:
❏ Artwork must be completely original. Clipart or copyrighted images are not allowed.
❏ Students may use any 2D visual art media (such as paper, markers, paint, crayons, collage) or
computer art media (such as Paint 3D).
❏ All artwork must be submitted to the students school, along with an entry form, by Thursday,
February 25th.
Judging:
❏ Artwork will be judged in four, grade-band categories: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12.
❏ Artwork will be judged according to: connection to the theme, originality, accuracy (spelling,
grammar, punctuation), and attractiveness.
Winners:
❏ A 1st and 2nd place winner will be selected in each category.
❏ 1st place winners will receive a $50 gift card; 2nd place winners will receive a
$25 gift card.
❏ 1st place winners will have their posters photographed and displayed to promote the community
litter pick up day on March 27th.
❏ Winning artwork will be displayed at the Bridgeton Public Library.
