Gateway Lead Remediation and Abatement Program
Serving Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties

The Lead Remediation and Abatement Grant Program provides assistance to low- and moderate-income families via the identification and remediation/abatement of lead-based paint hazards in pre-1978 single-family residential housing. First priority will be given to households with children under the age of six and/or pregnant women in eligible housing units constructed prior to 1978 where there is an identified lead-based paint hazard.

 Limitations of Eligibility 

1.     Income is at or below 80% of the area median income for the County in which the municipality is located.

2.     Occupy units constructed prior to 1978 and have a presence of lead-base paint hazards.

3.     Resides in a one- to four- family property.

4.     Abatement Units Only: Unit has a notice of violation from the local Department of Health.
